When you visit, we will ask you to register, SIGN IN, and tell us a little about your project before you begin browsing. First, our consultants will review your registration to determine if your project is for (1) new home construction, or (2) a bath/kitchen remodel. Then we are better prepared to ask focused questions developed to help you find products that match your needs, style preferences, and project’s timeline.

What’s the difference between Elegant Designs Showroom and other home centers and stores that sell plumbing products?  
We can list numerous key characteristics that set us apart from everybody else. For example:

• We are not an ordinary showroom. We are technically called a Selections/Specification Showroom, which means our design consultants work with each client individually to specify the plumbing fixtures and accessories for an entire project, which we manage from inspiration to installation. 
• We are a division of Penco Corporation, the Delmarva Peninsula ’s leading wholesale distributor of plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration products, founded in 1949.
• We offer exclusive and semi exclusive lines not available elsewhere, and unlike the "big box" stores and other retailers, we handle only selective product lines that live up to our discriminating standards.

How can I save myself time and have a successful showroom visit?
Please call ahead to discuss your needs and schedule an appointment with a consultant prior to coming in. We can not stress enough how important this step is! The average home remodel selection’s process takes a minimum of one- two hours and new home specifications frequently require more than one appointment. Our consultants are usually booked several days in advance and may only have a few minutes between scheduled appointments. Because we want to be able to spend dedicated time with you to explore your perfect match  style, finish, design, and function – we need to know you are coming in! Do you have products in stock? What about "lead times?"
Please note that our showroom is not a retail store with stocked shelves; it contains displays of luxury bath and kitchen products. While our parent company, Penco, has an extensive inventory at our Seaford and other regional branches, the unique nature of the luxury products market most often requires that we must custom order most items. 

For special order products, it takes an average of four to six week for arrival. Some product lines are available sooner, while others have a longer lead time. If you truly need something sooner, we can usually get it from a master distributor within one business week. However, we must pass on increased freight charges!

Do you sell everything displayed in the showroom, and does your Showroom have other products besides plumbing fixtures?
Yes, we sell the all items you see displayed as well as having much more available for you. Due to the great variety of products available today, it is impossible for us to display all models within our international portfolio of luxury kitchen and bath lines - as well as all available colors and finishes.

What about lighting products?
Yes, we display a selection of wall lamps and sconces that match select faucet lines and accessories. We also offer luxuries such as TV Mirrors, decorative mirrors, towel warmers, built-in coffee brewers, water filtration systems, garbage disposals, hot water dispensers, steam/sauna, medicine cabinets, bathroom furniture, and much more! Will I be able to view prices of items and can I purchase products myself, or do I have to purchase through my contractor?
Yes, for homeowners’ purposes of comparison, we display current Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Pricing on most items along with our stock number. Any price quotes provided to homeowners will not reflect discounts available to any builders, plumbers, or other trade professionals whom may purchase for your project.

When can I expect to receive a price quote for my project?
This will depend on the size and complexity of your selections and/or project. Typically, we are able to get your price quote back to customers/project managers within 3-5 business days after your appointment. If you are purchasing through your plumber and/or contractor, our consultants will provide the pricing directly to them. Trade Partners

I can’t make it in during regular business hours. Are other options available?
We understand and we are open on Saturdays. You are welcome to come in and browse and dream! However, we do require appointments for plan reviews and the selections process. Subject to availability, after hours appointments for project specification consultations are made on a case by case basis.

Does the Elegant Designs Showroom offer installation services?
At this time we do not. Installation of plumbing fixtures, especially luxury products, is best left to licensed and experienced plumbing contractors. We can recommend contractors in our Preferred Partner Program that we know from our past involvement are experienced and qualified professionals. We can also assist you with other related professionals such as designers, general contractors, cabinet, tile/flooring installers, security, audio/video, and more.
